If the beans are off, let's get us some flying time as a club!
October 17th at Verne's Field (directions and exact time to follow).
Low and Mid power definitely.
No waiver, so any high power flights have to meet the FAA requirements for a Class 1 Rocket (This is not the same as a NAR/Tripoli Level 1 rocket) -Propellant weight of 125 grams or less -uses a slow burning propellant (all commercial solid fuel motors meet this) -made of paper, wood, or breakable plastic. -no substantial metal parts -Launch weight under 1,500 grams (53 ounces, or 3lbs 7oz)
Verne; How heavy is your Phoenix, when ready to fly?

Hans, is the potential vendor called Off We Go Rocketry? I was going to place an order and then he can deliver it to the launch to save the hazmat fee. I would need to provide the launch location for that to work. Thanks, Dave

I haven't had a chance to work out a schedule yet for next year, so right now he's not yet going to be showing up.

Any word on whether we are still going to try to have a launch on the 17th? Has Verne said anything more? How about more specifics on the location, directions etc. The launch rail arrived yesterday. I will need to see if it fits on my pad or if I will have to make some modifications. Thanks, Dave

I am still willing to have the launch at my home if it won't work out for Verne. Perhaps he is too busy with harvest to be able to take the time off to do a launch. I picked up a good-sized fire extinguisher today that we can use too.

I'll have to get back to you tonight or tomorrow about this Saturday. Had something just come up, might not be able to make it myself either.

Since we haven't seen any activity from the other people on the forum, I think cancelling will be best. I have had a pretty busy week, it will be nice to have the day free to get caught up on some things around home. Dave

I wonder if weather will permit one more try? This weekend is no good, as is the 7th. Not sure about the 8th or any days after that.
