2015 is almost done, and the way I look at it, 2016 is going to be our first real flying season. So as a club, I think it's appropriate to start thinking about what we want to accomplish next year.
Personally, I'd love to have at least a half dozen launch days as a club. If we can pull off 8 that would be fantastic. I also think that about half of them should be low and mid power only. As much as I love high power rocketry, it's not the only thing out there. It's also not as easily accessible to people. So I really do think it's important to foster some low power enthusiasm in the group.
We also will need to look at equipment from a club standpoint. If we starting having more than 3 or 4 flyers, it's going to become a necessity for sure. Not just launch pads either. We'll have to look into a PA speaker of some kind. Definitely a fire extinguisher. If anybody has shade tents, those will be a great help. From there we'll figure out anything else we might need. I have a wish list for things down the road if our numbers grow, but I'm not going to worry about those right now. NAR does have a section grant available every year for equipment as needed, up to $250, so we can factor that in as well.
What about you guys? Anything general or specific you want to accomplish next year?

Keep an eye out, I'm going to try and schedule up a couple of meetings over the winter. Probably one in December/January, another in February/March. Then start flying in April.
