Greetings everyone! I think we had a pretty successful launch, despite the challenges of the wind and the hill. Thanks to those folks that came out to watch, especially Tim who came all the way from Aberdeen. I hope you get that rocket finished so you can launch it soon. I also want to thank those that helped me with retrieval yesterday with my bum foot. Hopefully I will be back up to speed by next launch. I posted a couple images here and hope that other folks can add images but I was not able to figure out how to add images to the existing thread from the launch so I started this new one. I had a blast as well, and even though the trackamo didn't work, it was still great to launch an H again. Once the crops are down I think that field is going to work out very nice for us. We just need to keep a couple of hilltop spotters to aid in recovery. Once I get a few moments to take care of it, I'll start working on the waiver.
The good news for me is that I already have a new nose cone for 'Thoooom!!!!', so it should be flying again by the time crops are down and the waiver is here. I also got in the new body tube for my Mosquito as well. Probably going to extend it an inch or two.
The more I fly some of these rockets, the more I want one of those Chute Releases. Especially with the winds out here.
